A physicist with a distinguished background, having earned his Ph.D in theoretical solid state physics from the University of Warwick, UK. Formerly a senior lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia.
After retirement, he transitioned into the field of biochemistry—particularly focusing on complementary medicine.
He has played important roles in advancing extraction methodologies, notably contributing to the development of innovative approaches such as the Enzymetic Extraction Method (EEM) for deriving active components from plants.
His work encapsulates the therapeutic benefits of indigenous plants for traditional medicinal applications.
Currently, Dr. Zainul serves as a technology advisor to Marcapada, providing valuable insights at the intersection of physics, biochemistry, and technology.

Professional Background
With decades of experience collaborating with international organizations such as WHO, UNEP, World Bank, GEF, JICA, and JBI, as well as NGOs like ILEC and the Lake Biwa Research Institute (as Director), Dr. Nakamura has significantly contributed to global environmental sustainability initiatives.
His primary research interest focuses on environmental policy and the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), particularly Integrated Lake Basin Management (ILBM) for lakes and reservoir basins.
Award & Recognition
Recipient of the 17th JICA President Award for his dedication to human resource development in developing countries through lake conservation efforts.
For Capacity Development and Water Family Coordination (CDW) in the Division of Water Sciences, UNESCO in Paris since April 2022.
She was active for the Global Water Partnership Southeast Asia in Jakarta as Deputy Regional Coordinator since July 2021.
